Recent Bug Fixes and Enhancements

All new Civic Sports sites are now being deployed with version 3. We are moving to a more scalable architecture that enables all our sites to be powered by a shared core file system. This will result in faster bug fixes and enhancements that will be easily deployed for all sites simultaneously. Unique site data will be untouched and remain carefully guarded in each domain so you don't have to worry about moving or migrating content from one upgrade to the next.

Not all our sites are on version 3. We are in the process of upgrading sports in order of occurance (Fall-2010, winter, spring-2011). If your site is not on v3, please contact us, and we will make sure it gets upgraded soon.

RECENT MODIFICATIONS
  • New Coach Hall of Fame page that can display all featured coaches from all seasons or just featured coaches from past seasons.
  • Game details now shows the team names below the description next to the game score boxes.
  • Leaderboard: Add new team now pulls list of teams from the Team Manager.
  • Team Wizard: If you select one team for each level (home teams) "Display Profile" will be checked by default.
  • Admin Schedules list now shows all seasons by default.
  • Admin > Teams > New Team > Display Profile defaults to off because you'll be adding opponents most of the time.
  • Admin > Facilities > New > Defaults to facility type 1 (Games) eliminates a couple clicks when adding facilities.
  • Admin > Teams & Orgs > Wizard function no longer accessible by manager level.
  • Admin > Staff & Athletes detail pages > The season selector now has a * next to seasons the person is already assigned to.

RECENT BUG FIXES

  • Roster image popup modified to work with new architecture.
  • Video system modified to be compatible with shared core site architecture.
  • Featured coach module was showing past coaches. Now only shows coaches for the current season.
  • Team Profile Module was displaying head coach for each season (multiple head coaches)
  • Admin > Games > New Facility and other drop downs are now alphabetical
  • Featured athlete module was showing featured alumni, but has not been limited to athletes from the current season.
  • Unpublished coaches were displayed in the team tab.
  • Staff delete was not working properly.
  • Alumni view now sorts by the same order as the admin view.
  • Alumni Tab was showing unpublished athletes.
  • Several image storage and display problems resolved that were related to the shared-core site architecture.

CHANGES IN PROGRESS

  • Finalize iCal feed system to feed schedule information to Google Calendar, then back into the site calendar.
  • Coach tab accordion slider is not working. We're testing solutions for the tab and accordion displays.
  • Changing the way schedules are set up to select participating teams.
  • Working on a good method to use for displaying tournament dates in the schedule where the only thing known is the date and event title like "State Playoffs"
  • Exploring team access control so the manger level could be limited so users can only access the organization and team information they are assigned to.
